Ingredients

4 Thick Slices of Stale Bread
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
50ml Double Cream
1 Large Eggs
40g Walnuts
Butter
Oil
Soft Brown Sugar

Method

Whisk the eggs, cream and vanilla essence in a bowl, then add the brown sugar to a separate bowl.

Add a dash of oil to a large pan on a high heat.

Dip the stale bread slices into the egg mixture then cover in brown sugar.

Fry both sides of the bread until the sugar caramelises.

Sprinkle the walnuts on top, then serve and enjoy.
