Apple Cider

A fruit that we make a fresh start for the day, in our kitchen with its red and green: Apple. We can turn it into a delicious drink by giving it a new spirit: Apple Cider!

Ingredients

5 apples, quartered
75g sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice

Method

Place apples in a large stockpot and add enough water cover by at least 5 cm. Stir in sugar, cinnamon, and allspice. Bring to a boil. Boil, uncovered, for 1 hour. Cover pot, reduce heat, and simmer for 2 hours.

Strain apple mixture though a fine mesh sieve. Discard solids. Drain cider again though a cheesecloth lined sieve. Refrigerate until cold. Enjoy.
