Pickled Plums

These are fantastic with other food or paired with alcoholic drinks.

Ingredients

For 2 jar
60g rock salt
500ml water
2 grape leaves
500g green plums
1 lemon
3 cloves of garlic

Method

Stir the salt in the water until dissolved.

Place the grape leaves at the bottom of a glass jar.

Slice the lemons.

Fill the jar with green plums and put some sliced lemon and garlic in between.

Pour the salt water over so that it covers the plums. Cap the jars and keep away from sunlight for about 3 weeks and then store in the refrigerator.
